RENEWABLES

WIND TURBINES

Larger scale wind turbines offer one of the most viable renewable technologies in the right circumstances.

BIOMASS

Biomass boilers for low temperature hot water or steam production for industrial processes can produce substantial cost savings over oil fired appliances. In addition, biomass is considered carbon neutral and therefore yields large reductions in CO2 emissions which are particularly important to companies with Climate Change Levy Agreements or for Carbon Trading.

SOLAR THERMAL

This can provide a useful energy contribution where large amounts of domestic hot water are required or for swimming pools and other warm water processes.

SOLAR PV

Photo Voltaic generation of electricity from sun light can be used to produce modest amounts of energy. This is a rapidly developing field of technology and installations are increasingly becoming more cost effective.

HEAT PUMPS

Heat pumps are an extremely efficient form of using electricity to provide heat. Ground Source Heat Pumps convert the heat energy stored in the ground to heat energy that can be used to provide heating within a building. In a similar way, Air Source Heat Pumps use the energy present in ambient air, even at low temperatures, to provide heat for homes and offices. Heat Pumps can also be used to recovery energy wasted in industrial processes.
